Overview

A functional, interactive proof of concept demonstrating the ability to build secure, data-driven applications from the ground up.

Jigsaw Chat is a full-stack social web application built specifically to serve as a technical resume. It handles complete backend routing, secure user authentication, session management, and full CRUD capabilities for the dashboard feed.

The interface strictly avoids generic Bootstrap templates. Instead, it relies on a flat editorial aesthetic featuring sharp borders, structural grid backgrounds, and high-contrast typography, ensuring a unique brand identity while remaining fully mobile-responsive.

The Challenge

Breaking away from
generic frameworks.

Building a social platform involves managing complex states: user sessions, database routing, image uploads, and dynamic feeds. The challenge was building this entire ecosystem securely from scratch, without falling back on templated CSS frameworks that dilute the brand's visual identity.

The Solution

A tailored, flat
editorial ecosystem.

I engineered a custom PHP backend utilizing MySQL to manage user data and sessions. For the frontend, I wrote entirely custom CSS to achieve a sharp, editorial grid layout. To handle media, I integrated Cropper.js for seamless in-browser profile picture framing, and used GSAP to ensure dashboard interactions felt fluid and premium.
